Actually... ^^; This wasn't supposed to end here. I kind of ran out of time for the contest. I don't know where it would have ended, had I had another month to work on it, but not this soon. Then again, at almost 6500 words, it probably needed to at least pause for breath. If I can get over my aversion to writing action (I think I'm horrible at it. Too much description ruins the pacing), I have a basic idea of where it goes from here.
I love superpowers. They're so much fun to write. And so hard on the characters. XD I suppose I'd have to, considering I've got two universes where they boys are AU with superpowers (well, three if you count the magic in Devil You Know, but that's different enough that I don't). When I was trying to figure out what powers they had in this universe (the plot bunny hit with only the very first scene and stayed that way for AGES and never gave me any powers to work from except that Junsu was at least empathic) I realized I kept straying dangerously close to the powers assigned in the other universe, so I had to basically start over. That was fun. ^^;
I actually intended there to be more in the middle with their growing friendship and less pure exposition, but that wasn't the story that wanted to be written. And I didn't have time to write the story that WANTED to be written as well as the one that needed to exist to get them there. So you got exposition. Good to hear it didn't break the flow of the story too much.
Yunho's an experience to write. He makes things seem so easy because he's used to taking care of a herd, so he notices all these little things ANYWAY without having to get shoved and cornered into it. Which may actually be why I have trouble writing from Junsu's POV. ^^;
